This is an indicative estimate from the figures you enter, not a quote. Rate bands and standard strengths vary by water company and change each year. Your actual charge, and what could be reduced, is confirmed per site.

How this is worked out

The Mogden formula sets a charge per cubic metre: C = R + V + B(Ot/Os) + S(St/Ss). R and V cover reception, conveyance and volume. The B and S terms scale with your effluent's strength (COD and suspended solids) against standard settled sewage. Bring the strength down and the B and S terms fall with it. Your annual bill is that charge multiplied by your yearly volume.
